Robert Smith and company are back on the road, and this time it’s a full-blown European takeover. The Cure’s 2026 trek is currently underway, weaving through festival main stages and headline club dates across nearly twenty countries, with the band already deep into a run that started with festival stops in Nickelsdorf and Florence in mid-June.

The lineup remains the one fans have come to expect from this era: Smith on vocals and guitar, longtime bassist Simon Gallup, keyboardist Roger O’Donnell, drummer Jason Cooper, and guitarist Reeves Gabrels. Five decades in, Smith is still the band’s only unbroken thread, and based on setlists circulating online, the shows are pulling from across the catalog rather than leaning on any single era.

June has been packed. After Nova Rock in Austria and Firenze Rocks in Italy, the band heads into Pinkpop in the Netherlands, the Isle of Wight Festival, and a headline show at Blackweir Fields in Cardiff before a sold-out date at Marlay Park in Dublin on June 26. From there it’s Belsonic in Belfast, then a string of headline shows continues through July with Rock Werchter in Belgium and a three-night stand in Berlin at Wuhlheide.

The support bills are stacked too. Depending on the date, openers include Slowdive, Mogwai, The Twilight Sad, Just Mustard, The Joy Formidable, and Stella and the Dreaming, making several of these shows feel more like mini post-punk and shoegaze festivals than standard support slots.

The tour doesn’t let up through summer. August brings Øya Festival in Oslo, Way Out West in Gothenburg, and a pair of UK headline dates in Manchester and Edinburgh before wrapping with Rock en Seine in Paris at the end of the month. For a band that’s been famously selective about touring in recent years, this is one of their most extensive European outings in a long time, and for fans on the continent, it’s shaping up to be the show of the summer.
