I don’t walk away from many smaller venue shows genuinely blown away. Usually, I hear good music, add a few songs to my playlist, and move on. Upon Your Dead Body completely exceeded every expectation.

The three-piece brought Midwestern emo to Los Angeles and made The Echo their own. I knew of Orange Hill Drive going in, but hearing the crowd sing their songs word for word and seeing their range onstage made me appreciate them on a whole new level.

I initially thought I was on the photo list, but there was a mix-up with management. Thankfully, the band made sure I got in, and I’m incredibly grateful they did. After the show, I had the chance to talk with them, and they were some of the kindest people I’ve met at a show.

This tour deserves more eyes on it. They give everything they have onstage and still make time for their fans afterward. I left the show a genuine fan and will absolutely be back when they return to Los Angeles.
